Report from Fellowship Committee (2016-2018)

Despite busy schedule of our club members during the past two years, we still managed to organise the following list of fellowship activities:
On November 7, 2016, we visited the new University of Macau campus at Hengqin ( 横琴 ). Upon arrival, we were given a tour around the new campus followed by a presentation of the various programs at the University given by the Dean of the Faculty of Business, including the School of Hotel & Gaming Management. Lunch was hosted by the Rector and Vice Rector of the University at Fortune Inn on campus. Thirteen members plus five friends and spouses participated. Beautiful campus, the University moved from Macau in 2015.
While we were in Macau, we also enjoyed the Michael Jackson Show “Thriller Live” and wonderful Chinese and Portuguese cuisines.
In March 2017 and 2018, with the refreshing start of spring following the Chinese New Year, we had held two wonderful Spring Gatherings at the EATWELL restaurant in Tin Hau. Response to thesedinner gathering was overwhelming, having majority turnout from members, supported by a high number of spouses. With exquisite cuisine and excellent service, the gathering celebrated the start of the years under high Zontian spirits. Indeed, two most enjoyable evenings!
On June 27, 2017, fourteen members gathered at the Dynasty Restaurant to congratulate Mowana Tse and celebrate her receiving the “Asia Chinese Leadership award 2016/2017”. Mowana is a renowned fashion designer and an enthusiastic and supportive Charter Member of the Club. We are all very happy she received this timely award.
On July 29, 2017, twelve members visited the Kinnet Health Centre in Sheung Wan, followed by a gourmet lunch at the Kinnet Cafe. During the visit, everyone had a computerised health check and explored the latest fitness equipment. We all went home feeling how important it is to be healthy and “happy”.
On August 4, 2017, twelve members plus spouses supported the Raymond Young Charity Concert at City Hall.
On January 12, 2018, twenty-four members and nine spouses gathered at the AMMO restaurant to celebrate a very successful 35th Anniversary/Fund Raising Gala held in November.
In May 2018, a four day Shanghai/Qiandao Lake (上海Ø千島湖) tour was organised. Ten members participated, enjoying beautiful sceneries, delicious Jiangnan cuisines and great shopping. Although the trip was short, there was enough laughing and sharing for the participants to remember for a long long time.
