Report from Fund Raising Committee (2006 – 2008)

Our biennial fund raising event was organized in co-operation with Metro Broadcast Corporation Limited. A Charity Dinner cum “The Best Dang Jia Awards” was held on 12 July 2007 at the Kowloon Shangri-La Hotel. A full house of almost three hundred guests and award winning “Dang Jias” attended the Charity Dinner. They also enjoyed the performances by students from Danse Lili Ballet Academie, Ms. Vincy Chan and Mr. Edmond Leung.
The fund raising event was a great success with about one and half million dollars raised for the evening. Generous supporters included our Principal Sponsor: K. Wah Real Estate Co. Ltd.; Diamond Sponsor: Bently Hong Kong; and Ruby Sponsors. All proceeds were allocated to Zonta Club of the New Territories Charitable Trust. It enabled us to sustain our momentum in helping the needy and benefiting a broader sector of our community.
