Report from Fund Raising Committee (2008 - 2010)
Co-Chairmen: Betty Chan, Michelle Chan
With the assistance of all Zonta NT members, the Fund Raising Committee has organized a very meaningful and successful fund raising event on 28 February 2010.
The event included a charity film show featuring ¡§The Echoes of the Rainbow¡¨ which has won the Crystal Bear Award for the Best Film at the 2010 Berlin International Film Festival a week before our event. The film was produced by Ms. Cheung Yuen Ting (±i°û´@) and directed by Mr. Alex Law (ù±Ò¾U). Through the film, the hardworking and resourceful characteristics of Hong Kong people in the 1960s are portrayed.
At the event, Zonta NT also paid tribute to nine Fondly Recognised Brands by presenting awards to them. The spirit and strengths of Hong Kong have been developed by these brands over the years for greater success. The nine brands cover a wide range of fields. They are Hang Seng Bank, Sincere, Watsons, Chow Sang Sang, Vitasoy, Star Ferry, Lion & Globe, Wai Yuen Tong and HK Philharmonic Orchestra. Through our event, we have also revived the awareness and discussions on the Hong Kong Spirit.
The net funds raised amounted to more than HK$ 1 million (unaudited). All proceeds raised from the event will go towards our Club¡¦s Charitable Trust Fund for various projects.

Report from Fund Raising Committee (2002 - 2004)
Co-Chairmen: Teresa Lin, Patricia Yeung, Florence Yip
During the biennium, our Club raised from members, patrons and donors just over $610,000 to help fund the Club's social service projects, which include:
- sponsoring the Environmental Campaign Committee to implement the 'Waste Separation
and Recycling Scheme in Pre-Schools'; and
- sponsoring the Senior Citizen Home Safety Association to implement an Emergency
Alarm System for 100 elderly persons.
The main fund-raising activity was in the form of a themed Walkathon - Green Walk - held on 15 December 2002. Our Walkathon also marked the launch of the Environment Campaign Committee's 'Waste Separation and Recycling Scheme' in Pre-schools. The event was extremely well attended, with over 120 participants and guests. We are particularly grateful to the Environmental Campaign Committee for organizing students from kindergartens to perform for our guests and the Sister of the Good Shepherd MaryCove School for its Lion's Dance performance.
We also organized last fall sales of candles donated by Zontian Kathy Tam and cosmetics bags donated by Ms Jennifer Tsang. Both sales drew an enthusiastic response from members and friends.
The mission of the Committee would not have been so successfully accomplished without the generous contributions of our members, their families and friends, to which we would like to extend our heartfelt thanks.
